Splish, Splash Fun
June 6 and 12, 2015
Happy Birthday LUKEY! I cannot believe it has been 3 years since you came into our lives and blessed us beyond our imaginations. Time to celebrate!
June 6, 2015
We started off with a morning party at our neighborhood splash-pad and it was HUGE success. Luke had over 10 friends come and help him celebrate in the 90* Texas heat. Plus both sets of grandparents and Auntie Allie came into town for this party! We spent over an hour splishing and splashing around the splash pad cooling off from the heat before diving into the Avengers cupcakes and gifts!
It was a great morning of fun but it was time to start Luke's annual tradition with Auntie Allie of making his 1st Build-a-Bear. Auntie Allie started this tradition when Natalie was 3 back in 2012 and it has been a tradition ever since. This was Luke's 1st time to make his own Build-a-Bear and he did a great job! Of course, he made a BASEBALL bear and named him "Nolan Ryan Davis" and gave him an Astros jersey. To this day he carries this bear around like a "binky" and is attached to him like no other stuffed animal he has ever had! Thank you Auntie Allie for starting this tradition now with Luke!
We then met back up with the grandparents for a BBQ dinner at McKenzie's in Conroe. We opened gifts from both sets of grandparents and chowed down on some great BBQ and even better bakery options before GiGi Shirley and Poppy as well as Auntie Allie had to had back home!
It was a GREAT day celebrating Luke's special 3 years and I thank both sets of Grandparents, Auntie Allie and all of our friends for helping us celebrate!

We asked Luke what he wanted to do for his actual birthday and he said "go to the zoo" so that is exactly what we did. We had a great time exploring the Houston Zoo and we got to see all of our favorite animals. After the zoo we went to eat Luke's favorite food... Cheeseburgers at Fuddrucker's! Here this little boy starting acting like his crazy self and we all just had a GREAT time! It was an incredible day of celebrating our Lukey and I cannot wait to see how this next year unfolds!
Luke, I love you so much and I thank God for you each and every day! You light up my life even on the darkest of days and are the sweetest, most loving and kind little boy I have ever met. You have the onery-ness and silliness I have always wanted in a little boy and I cannot wait to see how the rest of your life will turn out! I love you so much and you will always be my little guy! ~Mommy~
God is good... ALL the time!
