Hello GORGEOUS!

Morning
Happy EASTER 2023! We spent the morning at church worshipping our Risen Savior. After the service, we grabbed a quick lunch and then went back to the house to get ready for our flight. Once we got home, we got an email saying our flight had been delayed nearly two hours. Our original departure time was 5:15PM and now we would not depart until nearly 7:30PM.

We serve a RISEN Savior!

My babies are GROWING UP WAY TOO FAST!

Bright and early 7AM worship service!

Afternoon
We decided to still leave the house around the original 2:30 time we had planned in case there was traffic or other concerns. We arrived at the airport parking lot around 2:45PM and made our way to the terminal to get checked in for our JetBlue flight to JFK. This was the first time we flew with the kids out of George Bush and we all agree we like this airport better than Hobby (on the south side of Houston).

We have arrived at IAH!

First Family selfie of the trip!

Our ride has arrived!

Evening
Our flight took off from IAH around 7:07PM and we were airborne for the Big Apple. The flight was fairly uninteresting and the kids did very well. JetBlue offered light snacks, drinks and in flight entertainment in the TVs on the seatbacks which was all a step up from our previous 2 trips on Southwest. During our flight we flew over many large cities including, Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia. We were also able to see Manhattan at night from the air, which was really cool!

It is seriously crazy how we saw ALL of these cities from the air!

And Philly too!

And then to see NYC from the air... Priceless!

This was a GREAT flight!

We made it to JFK by 11:30PM and were getting our luggage from baggage claim right before midnight. I had pre-booked transportation from JFK to our Financial District hotel with "Airport Taxi Transfers" for $116. Our driver was waiting for us and got us to our Manhattan hotel before 1AM. The hotel front desk was very busy for this time of night but we were in our room and in bed before 1:30AM.

Hello Home away from Home... 215 Pearl Street!

It seriously is SO HARD to find 2 QUEEN beds in Manhattan!

It was a very long day but we could NOT WAIT to hit the ground running in New York City in just a few hours!

Up next... Our first FULL DAY in New York City!
And what an EPIC DAY it was!
